SIMEM’s OTTERCRETE is a skid-mounted series of grout plants that features the VortiMix high-shear colloidal mixer. It includes agitation tanks, pumps, and full automation, making it ideal for a wide range of tunnelling and mining applications.
The OTTERCRETE series is used in a wide range of applications, including bi-component grout and hydrated bentonite production to support tunnel boring machine (TBM) operation and ground stabilisation needs. It can produce lightweight cellular concrete, cement-based grouts for jet grouting, deep soil mixing, water cut-off injection, slurry wall production, and more.

KEY FEATURES
- Can be used in a wide range of applications, including bi-component grout production, lightweight cellular concrete systems, jet grouting, deep soil mixing and more.
- VortiMix colloidal mixer can rapidly mix cementitious grouts as low as 0.6:1 water:cement ratio (by weight). Optional paddle mixer allows for ratios as low as 0.45:1 w:c.
- Full range of auxiliary equipment available, including containerized liquid storage and agitation tanks, silos, bulk bag unloaders, foam generators, and skid-mounted pumping systems.
- Incorporates piston, peristaltic, progressive cavity, centrifugal, and air-diaphragm pumps.
- Series of complete solutions that offer standard capacities of 7.5 m3/hr and 10 m3/hr.
